In XJDF, the specification for Disjointing has as Allowed Values for @Direction: Alternate, Left, None, and Right, and an X and Y @Direction. However, for DigitalPrinting, how can we accomplish a 90 degrees rotation on the output? Meaning an alternating set of pages in Portrait and Landscape?
I do not think Layout will work since the scope of Layout is within the job.
The rotation we are looking to enable is between copies of the job.
It seems this is not something that can be currently defined. Would it be possible to add a new value for Disjointing/@Direction to support rotated copies?
Currently, there is no control for a hardware jogger that rotates. I am not aware of any such hardware. In most cases this kind of feature is implemented by selecting the appropriate media tray and positioning the pages appropriately.
You would have to build a Layout[@Automated="true"] that contains the desired sheet setup explicitly for each sheet of a master document. This also allows you to modify the Face-up / Face-down orientation and even Media selection for fold-outs etc. See PageCondition, SheetAvtivation and PageActivation for details.
