The ExposedMedia in the signal resource contains a MediaRef.

The content of this Media can be known by MIS since it is either the original Media of the job, or send to MIS using a Media resource signal (e.g. if plate info was different or not detailed by MIS).

Must the signal also include a second ResourceInfo that contains the Media as exposed?

CheckJDF validation complains if the Media is not present in the signal but that because it does not have the job context.

ICS-PRECP mentions a Media but that was for resource commands.

Adding all referenced resource can end up with a long list since these could also reference other resources (e.g. the Contact resource).

      Since Media is a required RefElement in JDF, you need to add a Media for a schema-valid ExposedMedia.

      Luckily a Media sub-element has no required attributes (although you might want to throw in @Dimensions for good measure) and you can therefore simply add

      <ExposedMedia (...stuff)>
        <Media/>
      </ExposedMedia>

      XJDF also requires a MediaRef, but you can leave out the Media in ResourceInfo/ResourceSet/ResourceSet, thus also avoiding the issue.
